Dear Sulphur Springs Parents and Guardians,

Thursday evening (7:00-8:30pm) participate in our chairperson training to see what it takes to run our events. On Friday (5:00-7:30pm) at the school bus loop, get ready for an exciting, fun-filled evening at our Trunk-or-Treat. It’s free to attend, so bring your family, friends, and your neighbors. If you have candy donations to drop off, you can send those in with your student, or you can drop them in the candy donation bin in the front office. We are still seeking volunteers for short time increments to help run the activities and man the games, sign up here:

  1. Chairperson Training – Zoom Meeting (10/25, 7:00-8:30pm)

Calling all PTA trailblazers, both seasoned and those with dreams of leading the charge! Mark your calendars, circle it in bright, neon ink, and set an alarm – because on Wednesday, October 25th, at 7:00pm, we're rolling out the virtual red carpet for our PTA Chairperson Training. We'll demystify what it means to be the captain of a PTA ship, guide you through the secret sauce for planning a knock-your-socks-off event, and reveal the inner workings of how we summon our legendary Mustang magic!

Now, you might be wondering, 'How do I join this exclusive event? Meeting URL: https://deainc.zoom.us/j/96646282339?pwd=Q2I0OU1aTGx5RmpQaERJVTA0ZEU1dz09

Meeting ID: 966 4628 2339 Passcode: 971499

If the stars don’t align and you can't make it to the training at that exact hour, don't fret! Reach out to Victoria.Skornia@gmail.com, and we'll conjure up alternate arrangements to make sure you don't miss out on the action.

  1. Trunk or Treat (10/27, 5:00-7:30pm)

Please sign up for a trunk, to volunteer, or to donate here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050449AAA62CA0F58-trunkortreat2#/

Thank you to everyone who has donated candy! We are so close to our goal; we are hoping for 20 more bags, so please continue to drop those off to the front office or send them in with your student.

Our students’ favorite Fall event is just around the corner: Trunk-or-Treat, and it’s free for all to attend! They get to dress up and enjoy all the trunks that have been decorated, and families get to pass out candy and/or share an activity or game. Our amazing event co-chairs, Kimberly Sperling and Nicole Carruth, have a spectacular night planned. Students will be talking about it for weeks after!

Your students and their siblings and friends can join in on the fun.  And YOU can sign up to host a trunk, volunteer for a game or activity, or provide candy or prize donations.  Be an integral part of creating fun family memories.  We can’t wait to see you there!

  1. Mustang Store – (11/06 & 11/07)

Our “store” is all about celebrating our young Mustangs: their hard work and acts of kindness don’t go unnoticed or unrewarded! Students earn Mustang PRIDE Slips for going above and beyond for their fellow students and our community. Being kind, picking up trash, and helping others are some of the ways students can get Mustang PRIDE Slips from school staff and key PTA volunteers. A few times a year, the PTA opens the Mustang Store. This is a time when students can bring their PRIDE Slips to be exchanged for fun prizes of their choosing.

Students, remember to bring those well-earned Mustang PRIDE Slips because it's time to cash them in for some awesome prizes that'll make your smile beam from cheek to cheek. From fun trinkets to must-have gadgets, our treasure trove of rewards has something for everyone. Your teachers will sign up for times to bring the entire class.

We are looking for volunteers to help with a few specific time slots – to help children count their Mustang PRIDE Slips or to pick out the prizes they just can’t live without. It’s a fun time with other great volunteers, and the smiles from the kids are priceless.  Sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/409044BACA629A1F94-44949199-mustang

  1. Restaurant Night – McTeacher Night (11/15, 4:00-7:00pm)

Come out for our McDonald’s McTeacher night, featuring our very own Principal along with our Teachers working behind the McDonald’s counter. Help our school raise money while your students play with their peers; and parents, friends and neighbors have a blast at McDonald’s! The school will receive 20% of net sales during the fundraiser and the classroom with the greatest number of students in attendance will receive a special gift! We look forward to seeing you at: 18850 Soledad Canyon Rd.
